I love these shoes. I do everything in them. They are so comfortable, I never leave home without them (seriously, when I go to church I leave them in my jeep for after church wear). I love the Gore-tex part of them. I can do anything in these and not worry about wet feet or stuff like that. Overall these are the best all around shoe made.

Although you will certainly notice it when a cold shower hits, your foot is bound to not miss a beat with the Gore-Tex XCR lined Salomon Men's XA Comp 2 XCR Trail Running Shoe. Although the name is mouthful, roughly translated it describes a shoe that's loaded with features for the serious trail runner. In addition to the waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex lining, a gusseted tongue helps block debris and mud puddle spray from working its way into the shoe. And for sections of rough trail, the 2D Advanced Chassis acts like a plate of armor, protecting the bottom of the foot from sharp rocks while reducing twisting on rough paths.

Advanced Chassis Technology offers excellent push-through protection, torsional rigidity and forefoot flexion and reduces overall weight. Dual-density EVA midsoles absorb shock; thermoplastic plates provide the right amount of flex, support and responsiveness underfoot. Protective toe caps resist abrasion to uppers and keep toes safe from bumps; lace pocket on tongue stores laces neatly out of the way. Running Contagrip rubber outsoles deliver optimal performance on mixed terrain even at high speeds. Sensifit synthetic overlays deliver a secure fit across instep; asymmetrical Quickfit lacing system takes just one pull for a precise fit. Synthetic leather/mesh uppers are highly breathable, durable and lightweight. These low-profile trail-runners are well suited to rough terrain and wet conditions--ideal for adventure racing and training when comfort is crucial. Waterproof, seam-sealed Gore-Tex XCR inserts keep wet weather at bay--and they're extra breathable to ensure comfort.
