This is a great sleeping bag! But you'll only find it on closeout, as it's been discontinued. If you find one for sale at a price you like, don't hesitate, it's a keeper.

We bought this for our daughter before our summer vacation, and she was very pleased with it. It's well designed, fit and finish is good and warmth to weight ratio is outstanding for a 600 fill bag. The zipper doesn't snag too much, and the straps that hold the Thermarest in place are fantastic. The hood seems to fit snuggly but still comfortably. Lastly the Robin's egg blue with colorful print lining met with her approval.

* Fabric weight is very light. Wouldn't be my first choice for a child, but fine for an adult. Our daughter is generally careful, I'll take a chance. No way I'd let her brother near it. He'd shred it in a weekend. ;-)

* Down-fill is generous with this bag. Many warm weather down bags I see in the stores seem to be missing half their down. This one is nice and full.

* Has no draft collar, which might have been a deal-breaker at full price, or if we lived in the cold, but at deep discount and with us living in temperate Virginia, we're fine with no draft collar.

* This is a woman's specific sleeping bag. It's cut with narrow shoulders generous hips, and fuzzy tricot in the foot area to keep feet warm. Until the owner is in high school, we don't have a lot to say about the fit.

We opted to buy this instead of a kids bag for our daughter because the kids bags are surprisingly heavy. Though smaller, kids bags are usually made from crude materials, and end up not saving much weight. One more thing to outgrow. With this, she can use it until it's shot. Then buy her own darn replacement.

Good luck!
