Klymit Inertia O Zone

rated 3 of 5 stars While I enjoy this product and find it comfortable, there are compromises that must be made to meet the low weight of the product. Best for Summer, Spring, Fall weather. Best for those willing to make sacrifices to save weight. I find myself enjoying this product the more I use it, and I find myself finding challenges overcome as well. As I get more use to the way it works, the easier it is to use it. I've put a few trips on this air mattress and find it sufficient to write a little about it. I… Full review

Klymit Static V2

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Great sleeping pad for sure. This inflatable sleeping pad was a great pad. The V shape in the center position makes my body feel relaxed after a long hike. The V also makes sure my body doesn't slide down when I have to build my tent in the sloping campsite. To inflate this pad I need about 10-13 breathes and it does not make me exhausted. Klymit Static V2 weighed about 13oz/462g. It's slightly lighter than the predecessor Static V that weighed 18.1oz/514g. This pad is very light and I love it. Full review

Therm-a-Rest Z-Seat

rated 3.5 of 5 stars Packs small for transport, but it's maybe a little too small to comfortably use. For the price, it's an OK deal. This sitting pad is based on Therm-a-Rest's popular Z-Lite sleeping pad. I bought mine primarily so that I wouldn't have to sit in the dirt or on bumpy logs and to kneel on to get into my tent. I think it accomplishes these goals fairly well but I have two complaints.  1) It is truly just a sitting pad and as such, you're only ever going to get your butt to fit on it. I would prefer… Full review

HammockGear Burrow 20

rated 5 of 5 stars Quality construction and great custom built quilt. Research told me this was the best bang for the buck and I am very glad I bought from Hammockgear. I reviewed several brands of quilts and a friend suggested I look at Hammockgear quilts. From comparing other company's specs, Hammockgear quilts were a better deal for a higher quality down. I added a couple extra ounces as well to get mine closer to 15 degrees as I use it into October. I also ordered the long version. Although I'm 5'11" I often like… Full review

Kelty Tuck 20 / EN 22

rated 5 of 5 stars Warm, comfortable bag that performs as rated, with convenient features usually associated with more expensive gear. I paid $89 for the Kelty Tuck. At that price, I really wasn't expecting much. I do most of my camping in North Carolina, though, so even though I was spending two weeks in the Sangre de Cristo mountains of New Mexico, I really couldn't justify spending $200 for a 20-degree bag. So I bought cheap and prepared to suffer. So, first thing, the EN temperature rating is pretty accurate. Full review

Katabatic Gear Palisade

rated 5 of 5 stars Warm, lightweight, versatile, and durable. Highly recommend. Great quilt/bag! I've slept in it down to 30°F in this bag with a Therm-a-Rest NeoAir XTherm sleeping pad underneath with my long underwear and jacket underneath. I got this bag to cut down on weight and size for backpacking, but have mostly used this bag when car camping. The bag is built very well especially for a lightweight bag. I generally sleep very cold, and I have tried many other bags and have never been able to sleep in them… Full review

Marmot Men's Trestles 15

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Very good product for its price. Both my wife and I each have one and we like it very much. I backpacked 33 kilometers/ 20 miles and spent two nights in the backcountry and was happy with this bag. This sleeping bag kept both my wife and I warm. We each have one. I'm a hot sleeper and had to undo the zipper and stick a foot out. My wife is always cold and found this bag warm and cozy. The temperature went down to about 55 degrees, not exactly cold but cool and damp enough to potentially ruin a good… Full review

Sea to Summit Aeros Premium Pillow

rated 4.5 of 5 stars I need a dedicated pillow. Having a good night's sleep is one of the most important things to me when camping. This pillow far exceeds my expectations. I have searched forever for the perfect pillow. I have been using a Slumberjack 14" x 16" pillow I purchased many years ago. It compresses fairly small (5" x 10" and weighs 12.65 oz.). The pillow is extremely comfortable and was a hard choice replacing it. I will not do without a pillow, I have tried and don't like it. I need a dedicated pillow. Full review

Therm-a-Rest NeoAir XTherm

rated 5 of 5 stars This is a very lightweight, compact air mattress. I have tested quite a few and this one fits my needs. Very comfortable even for a 215 lb toss'n and turning sleeper. Purchased September 5th, 2014Fall of 2014 I purchased the NeoAir XTherm. This was replaced with the 2015 NeoAir XTherm / XTherm MAXThe only difference is within this statement on the website "NEW – XTherm MAX – All the performance of the original XTherm with added coverage for extreme temps and larger torsos." Whatever the hell… Full review
