Equinox Mt. Hood

rated 5 of 5 stars The most comfortable pad I've ever used. The first time I layed down on the Mt. Hood pad from Equinox, I loved it. It is the most comfortable pad I've ever used. I am comparing it to other closed-cell foam pads like Ridgerest (which I had for 20 years), and a no-name pad I got on Ebay. The roll strap that Equinox supplies is of very high-quality and heavy duty, like the pad itself. While the pad is only 20" wide, I have not found this to be a problem at all. It is 72" long, weighs 10 oz. and is… Full review

rated 5 of 5 stars I own 13 quilts. Hammockgear.com has the best design and manufacture of them all. They have the best price-to-value ratio and the best service I've found. Period. I own 13 quilts. Freeland Self-Inflating Sleeping Pad

rated 4 of 5 stars As comfy as a self-inflating sleeping pad will get! This self-inflating sleeping pad is still a good pad for its price. It is firm and comfortable. Size is good to me (I'm 6'2").  Well, the pad is somewhat bulky, but still a very good support. It is self-inflating to a point, and I still need to finish inflating manually for the first time use. It takes a few minutes to fill up with air.   The pad allows me to link two pads together. This mat can fold into small package and i suggest taking… Full review

HammockGear Incubator 20°

rated 5 of 5 stars Light. Warm. Excellent quality. Includes stuff sack and cotton storage bag. Built to order options for colors, materials & over-stuff. Great customer service. I purchased an Incubator 20 short with 1 oz of overstuff, so it is probably more in the 15 degree range as far as rating goes. I have used this quilt down (with a 20 degree HG under quilt with 1oz. overstuff)to a damp 10 degrees and been comforatble (YMMV I am a warm sleeper). The quilt is light enough that it is my go to for most of the… Full review

Big Agnes Horse Thief SL 35°

rated 4 of 5 stars A lightweight hoodless option that lightens the load in your summer pack. Recommended for weather where the temps hover around or above 50*F. Warmth:The bag is rated at 35*F.  The bag does a fine job in temperatures above 50*F. Mid 40's and below, the comfort level starts to drop off quick. In temperate climates like the one here in Minnesota, you can judge the weather well enough to make a pretty good estimate of whether you'll be in comfort range.  Fit and Comfort: I must say, the bag is a comfortable… Full review

Klymit Insulated Static V Luxe

rated 5 of 5 stars Didn't think side sleeping on a air pad comfortably was possible. This pad changed my mind. Couldn't be happier! As a Ranger with TheDyrt, I often get the opportunity to try out different products. When I found out that I was able to test out this sleeping pad I couldn't get my hands on it fast enough. I love camping, but often have trouble sleeping exactly how I want to. I'm a classic side sleeper and rarely get the opportunity to do so comfortably while in the backcountry. After reading that side… Full review

Therm-a-Rest Slacker Snuggler

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The Slacker Snuggler is a great little underquilt. I think it’s a perfect fit for hanging in summer, late spring, and early fall. Retailing at $79.95, it is much more expensive than CCF pads and a bit heavier, but much more comfortable. The Snuggler is about half the cost of similarly rated down quilts, but easier to use and maintain. The Slacker Snuggler came without any instructions, and there are no instructions for use or care on the Therm-a-Rest website; an insert of some variety showing… Full review

Marmot Trestles 20 Semi Rec

rated 4 of 5 stars After doing some research, I wanted a bag that was synthetic and wasn't a tight fitting mummy bag. This fits the bill. The double zippers are great and allow the bag to breathe on hot nights. I've never been cold with this bag, even when the temperate outside dips into the 20s. I have found that in that range, the bag does take sometime to warm up inside. As everyone else has said, the zippers do tend to get caught on the fabric a lot. The glow-in-the dark zipper finders are also pretty weak too. Full review
