Combining SmartWool's revolutionary abrasion- and weather-resistant HyFi fabric with Next-to-Skin merino wool panels, the PhD HyFi Divide helps regulate core body temperature with efficient breathability.

The SmartWool PhD HyFi Divide Hull Zip is a triple-threat garment. Nylon facing rebuffs wind, Merino lining wicks sweat, and wool insulation holds heat. With a zip chest pocket for media.

SmartWool thought of everything while designing the Men's PhD HyFi Divide 1/2-Zip Top so you can ski with the utmost comfort. Its shell blends merino wool and nylon to combine the warmth and moisture management of merino with the wind- and abrasion-resistance of nylon. Meanwhile, the merino wool lining is super soft and non-itchy against your skin, regulates your body temperature so you're neither too warm nor too cold, and is naturally antimicrobial to eliminate odors so this baselayer won't smell like you do after intense ski sessions. Its semi-form-fitting design keeps bulk at a minimum when you wear multiple layers, and a longer torso makes sure this baselayer doesn't untuck itself while you're skiing. The PhD HyFi also features a 13-inch offset zipper that reduces bulk by separating its zipper from your jacket's zipper, and its semi-locking slider makes sure it stays where you set it. Flatlock seams eliminate chafing, and the low-profile thumbholes are barely noticeable when you don't want them. SmartWool added a zippered chest pocket with a media port so you can listen to music and keep your media player protected under all your layers. See, SmartWool really thought of everything.

Combining wind-resistant front panels, back panels and arms with a lightweight merino wool baselayer, the SmartWool PhD HyFi Divide half-zip top offers a little extra warmth for cross-country skiing. Front panels and arms place wool next to the skin to maintain moisture-wicking, heat-regulating comfort; nylon outer face resists wind and abrasion. Merino wool in back, bottom and side panels offer the same performance as a lightweight base layer to maintain breathable comfort. 13 in. zip with draft flap lets you easily regulate core temperature; chin guard ensures comfort. Zippered hand pockets and zip chest pocket securely stash essentials; thumbholes allow sleeves to extend over top of hands for warmth. Semifitted cut of the SmartWool PhD HyFi Divide half-zip top is not too tight and not too loose.
