I bought this jacket over Easter in Keswick. I bought it because my Berghaus Alpine Extrem had finally given up and started to leak. I've had no problems whatsoever. R49 is the most breathable type of Gore-Tex available and I'm astonished at just how much sweat it can shift.

What I love the most about it is the hood. It deflects the rain and is wired. The drawcords are captured so they don't beat me in the face. I can't be doing with a terrible hood.

It may not have underarm ventilation zips, but with R49 Gore-Tex it doesn't need it!
