Summary

Overall a great design. Quality crafted in Canada. All of the stitching is slab straight. The fit is excellent for me... moderately long sleeves. I have a 41-42 chest, and it is close to the body in a large. Definitely an active fit. It is a great layering piece, particularly underneath my GTX Pro shell.

It is true to its retail description, a technical layer with inner cuffs that seal out the cold and a dropped rear hem to protect the derriere. There are 6! Pockets! Fantastic for a lightweight down piece. The design of synthetic, breathable insulation in the underarms is brilliant.

My only gripe is the translucent nature of the 15D shell fabric (current model has 30D fabric and solves this problem, albeit at the expense of added weight). It allows the darker down feathers to be seen through the material, leaving it to look scotch stained.

A fantastic buy and still available for next to nothing at Backcountry.com. Get one!
