If you had to own only one pair trail running socks, these would be the ones! I like the versatility of Swiftwick's Merino 1 better than any sock I've ever worn. It's perfect for long or short trail runs as well as knocking back my first marathon on the pavement (on an 80 degree day!).

You won't find a more durable, comfortable, wicking, compression sock on the market. It's a must have for hikers as well as trail runners. Highly recommend.

Manufacturer's Description

This compression sock has a 1" cuff that sits at the ankle.

Merino Wool, nature's original technical fiber, has proven insulating and wicking qualities.  It keeps the skin dryer when sweating and cooler when hot.  Swiftwick uses a 18-gauge New Zealand Merino Wool with 3-inch minimum staple length strands for its soft finish, no-itch feel, and durability.  Merino Wool is the most hydrophilic of all natural fibers, absorbing as much as 30 percent of its weight without feeling wet; however, its hydrophobic exterior with smoother scales-yes, wool has scales--allows for a softer and dryer feel.

Fabric: 60% merino wool, 30% nylon, 10% lycra
Sizes: S-M/L-XL
