Patagonia Men's Nano-Air Jacket

rated 5 of 5 stars The marketing department at Patagonia says about this jacket, "put it on and leave it on." They're not lying, folks! I picked this up and have been wearing it outdoors ever since to hike in, run in, do yard work in, and hang out drinking coffee. The temps were in the mid 50s to low 60s and the rain was pretty heavy at times and I was comfortable — never overheating. I stayed warm when I slowed down as well. Like all Patagonia clothes, it's made to throw in the wash, which I did, and comes out… Full review

REI Men's Revelcloud Hoodie Jacket

rated 5 of 5 stars Awesome all-purpose jacket. Ultra comfort and ultra-utility. I've had this jacket (actually a men's large) for three years now and it's been a dream the whole time. It's kept me warm across a dozen counties, including in the Inland Northwest and Norwegian winter, all while staying still looking almost new. Except the oil stain from where I spilled nearly a cup of mayonnaise off a Zapikanka in Poland :P Makes an awesome pillow once stowed, too! Full review

Patagonia Men's Nano Puff Jacket

rated 5 of 5 stars A must-have jacket. Super light and pack-able, yet keeps you warm in winter. I walk every day to work. I usually wear this on a chilly and snowing day with a shell outside. Never feel any cold. Full review

Patagonia Men's Insulated Better Sweater Hoody

rated 5 of 5 stars Comfortable and warm; great for chilly fall or spring evenings. Overall, I am very impressed with the jacket which is best for cruising around town, going for evening walks, or hanging around the campfire. It combines the features of Patagonia's Nano Puff and Better Sweater together into a package that is extremely warn and comfortable. I would say the weaknesses are more towards using the jacket for which it is not most suitable. For example, the jacket is not made for backpacking or for other… Full review

Arc'teryx Men's Atom LT Hoody

rated 4.5 of 5 stars If you're looking for a synthetic jacket, this one is it. An almost perfect, mid layer for very cold temps, or a good outer jacket during spring/fall. Overall: This is a great, almost perfect, mid layer for very cold temps, or a good outer jacket during spring/fall. I come from using a minimal down shirt almost daily except during the height of summer. In spring or fall this jacket works great as an outer jacket. The breathing side panels do make a difference compared to the down shirt I was wearing,… Full review

GoLite Men's Wenatchee PrimaLoft

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Nice jacket for when it gets cold. I've been using this jacket for about four months now (Colorado winter/spring) and I really like it. Down is getting more expensive so after shopping down I decided to go synthetic and I'm glad I did. We've had a wet spring in Colorado. I've seen the temp drop 10-15 degrees in an hour so the pit zips have come in very handy. This jacket works in town and in the backcountry and will keep you comfortable in a wide range of temperatures. I think my torso length puts… Full review

SmartWool Men's PhD SmartLoft Divide Hoody Sport

rated 5 of 5 stars The SmartWool PhD SmartLoft Divide Hoody Sport has been within arm’s reach of me all winter. It's one of the best insulating layers I have used for resort skiing, ski touring, snowshoeing, and around town. I highly recommend this jacket for anyone looking for a well-rounded insulating layer that is different from the traditional down or synthetic options. I have had this jacket with me for every activity I participated in all winter. Whether it was backcountry skiing, resort skiing, snowshoeing,… Full review

The North Face Men's Thermoball Full Zip Jacket

rated 4 of 5 stars The Thermoball jacket does what it says it will do. It insulates—even when wet—at the loft and weight of 600-fill goose down. The shell repels rain quite well, it doesn’t readily absorb moisture, and it dries more quickly than down. The fit is what I’d call “average-athletic,” which is good to see from The North Face; this is an activity-minded garment, one that should be cut to fit active people. Best For:  Backpackers and mountaineers in damp, wet areas like the United States Pacific… Full review

Wiggy's Barren Grounds Parka

rated 4 of 5 stars Compressible warmth, easy wash and dry, superior customer service. Amazing customer service from Wiggy's... called on a Tuesday, jacket delivered Friday, despite not being in stock and being shipped to Florida... no extra charge for the quick turnaround. Only thing I wish this jacket had was knit cuffs like the Wiggy's sweaters have. Full review
