User Review: The North Face Big Fat Frog 24

My wife and I received this as a wedding gift and were a bit skeptical at first since it was a bigger tent and we wanted something smaller for backpacking. But it doe not disappoint!

With an added compression sack, it actually becomes rather small and is not all that heavy for a multi-person tent. We have used it around a dozen times, perfect on clear and beautiful summer nights you can sleep under the stars and see them all!

With the bivy on, it is wonderfully waterproof as we tested on a crazy rainstorm night up a local canyon. It also stood up to a 3 inch snowstorm (that we had no idea was coming) while we were in the Wasatch range. No condensation on our end.

I love this tent also because the bivy creates a faux porch which is great for storing gear/shoes out of the elements, but not in your tent.

Would definitely recommend it.
