I have used this jacket for a little over a year and have so far been impressed. I live in the very windy Texas Panhandle and this jacket is perfect for the conditions. It is much more wind resistant than water resistant so if you plan on the being in the rain either coat it with a water repellent or look elsewhere. I recently have done this and am getting great results. Somewhat heavy and doesn't pack down as small as I'd like but this jacket is very tough and has served me well from cold nights in NM to extremely windy days in Texas. I have also found it extremely breathable.
