I got this pack three years ago. The suspension is similar to the Micro fit found on today's models. It is slightly different, but not enough to warrant mentioning. This pack is essentially a big stuff sack. There are side zippers allowing easy access and it features TNF gull-wing water bottle pockets. The top does not transform into a fanny pack, which would be nice.
I have used this bag for mostly fall and summer trips. Most of which have been assistant guiding in the Adirondaks. Because of that role I often find myself carrying the "left over" gear that did not seem to find a home. The long collar at the top enables capacity to be expanded enormously. Compression straps all around bring the bulk back to a manageable size.
It carries well, and even after a long day with a heavy load it feels good.
For winter use the bag makes a wonderful insulater over the foot of a bivy, as it come up to your chest. It also has dual daisy chains and axe holsters for external storage.
All in all it is the best pack I have owned, and even compresses enough for day climbing trips to those remote areas. A highly recommended pack if you can still find one.
