DO NOT USE IN SUMMER UNLESS YOU WISH TO OVERHEAT AND DEHYDRATE FAST. That happened to me. Other than that experience, this jacket rules. It is good for winter mountaineering and is truly a good cold weather jacket. It keeps you warm enougth without a fleece underneath and is great for snowshoeing through three feet of new fallen snow on a 5ft base. It is also good for skiing if that is your thing. I would recommend this jacket if you can get it at a good price. If not, look on either gear.com or campmor.com for better deals on jackets. As a side note, i am the gear guru so if you have any questions about any products by any company, e-mail me.
