It is comfy but heavy. It seems to be very well made and durable. Only used it once, car camping. A few more times crashing at people's homes on road trips.
This was a splurge purchase as the thought about a $12 genuine Therm-A-Rest got to me. I gave it 4 stars because it functions flawlessly, it is just heavy. It seems it will work OK for scout camping and car camping. However, I would prefer a thicker pad (who wouldn't).
