This tool is a decent whistle, a great fire starter…

Rating: rated 3.5 of 5 stars
Price Paid: $29.95

This tool is a decent whistle, a great fire starter and a so-so knife. The fire striker works very well, even when soaking wet, once you scrape off the protective coating. The whistle is more than I want to hear without plugging my ears. The lockblade knife lacks the quality you find on a Gerber or other knife from a reputable manufacturer but the steel is soft enough that you can easily apply a very dangerous edge.

Of course the trade off is that easily sharpened means easily dulled. The blade also has some play in its hinge area and is not designed for continuous use. I wear it around my neck from a piece of parachute cord and use it a lot for fire starting but I carry dedicated pocket knife for daily use and save this tool for emergencies.
