Rating: rated 5 of 5 stars

I used to think that hiking with a staff was a little on the sissy side. In my later years of backpacking I decided to purchase the Compact Travel Staff. It was easy to set up and I have taken 34 mile hikes with it over several days. Believe me, I almost forgot it on one trip and would have gone back home to get it. It saves your legs and ankles and keeps you from falling on the trail. It is a winner in my book. Gary

Price Paid: $35

Well made, reasonably priced collapsible hiking staff for those who don't fancy double trekking poles. Very effective in descending steep, loose, rocky terrain. Knob unscrews to reveal a 1/4" thread to attach a camera, converting the staff into an effective monopod. No complaints on worksmanship, staff was also effective in convincing a couple of wild dogs to keep their canines at arm's length. There's nothing like a good stick.
