Summary
This pack has survived over 80 miles worth of mud and obstacle runs, including barb wire crawls, mud pits and swimming over small bodies of water and it has been amazing. The ability to have a small bottle to use for quick protein/supplement shakes is key for me finishing without cramping and properly fueled.
Pros
- Roomy
- The best is great for quick access gels and beans and the non-zippered space for the trash!
- Fit
- Organization is great!
Cons
- The white will never wash out the mud
- The water bottle it came with was not good for supplements (nipple was hard to suck thru)
Fit: I am 6ft 1 and broad shouldered and this pack feels and fits great.
Comfort: The vest fits and feels great and I can sprint with it or climb with it.
Capacity: Fits more then you will need!
I have used this pack for the Peak 50 trail ultra, A Spartan Race Ultra Beast, Spartan Race regular Beast and several other short obstacle races. This pack has taken a serious beating but was perfect for me and carrying the water and fuel I needed to complete these events.
