BlastMatch

rated 4 of 5 stars Excellent for campfires, but for stoves... All right, I admit it. I bought one of these after seeing it on "Naked and Afraid." Please note, in the woods, I am only occasionally naked and never afraid. However, this item looked like it could be handy even for someone clothed and composed. Being seduced, I did buy. If nothing else I figured I could argue about it with cronies. Come to think, I guess I am doing that now. It is basically a standard, thick magnesium composite bar with a steel striker… Full review

Delta Shockproof Lighter

rated 5 of 5 stars I bought it new. Upon receiving, my wife washed it when she put the pants into the washer without checking the pockets. The cap was locked and the safety lock was on. When I realized it got soaked inside the washer, I took a look at the butane chamber. There was dampness inside and I left the lighter three consecutive days inside the house without closing the lid. The dampness disappeared at the end. I then read the specification and kind of understood the high quality butane requirement. A friend… Full review

StrikeForce

rated 5 of 5 stars This is one of the best fire starters I have ever owned. The shower of sparks that are emitted is amazing and if the tinder you are using is flammable it will light. This fire starter is ideal for survival, outdoor/adverse fire starting conditions I highly recommend this fire starter to anyone who spends time outside and is building fires or practicing survival skills. I am a true believer in the UST StrikeForce fire starter. The ferrocerium rod and striker bar emit by far one the best shower of… Full review

Pico Lantern

rated 5 of 5 stars Three light settings, handle on top hook on bottom, batteries last a long time. Durable and compact design with removable lens that floods the light. Being a lantern styled light I figured it would only be good inside the tent. But it shines pretty bright for a lantern light. It is not the old Coleman white gas lantern, but then you don't put them in your pack or tent either. I am fairly impressed how far into the woods I can see with this on bright setting. The dim setting is plenty for what I… Full review

WetFire Tinder

rated 5 of 5 stars I like having a couple of these fire starters in my bag. Not many things are more frustrating than having trouble getting a fire going. I recently bought these in a 5-pack from Walmart just to try them out. I am so pleased with them! These things come individually wrapped and are very small (about the size of a strawberry) and lightweight. I like these things because it kind of takes the hassle out of trying to get a fire going.  We gathered wood and kindling and piled the kindling around this… Full review
