Wanted a tent with plenty of storage space. Originally wanted it to put the two mountain bikes when we went out without them (to the pub etc...). There's just enough room to do this IF you take off the front wheels first. On expeditions without the bike there's plenty of room to store everything else that we think of to bring. It comes with loads of pegs and guy ropes although it's so strong I have never needed the guy ropes. There's this Tension Band System that stops the hoops from distorting in strong winds. also, the hoops are aluminium so they're pretty rigid on their own.
Would probably recommend the Equinox 4 due to the small extra cost against the enormous extra headroom. Always wanted a geodesic tent because of the ability to pick it up and place it on the flattest ground once erected. The hoop tents need to be pegged down in order to keep them up. Problem is, there's no geodesic tent with as much storage space outside of the sleeping area... unless you know better? Has to be available in the UK please.
