The Alpha has been discontinued. If you're looking for something new, check out the best trail shoes for 2024.

I agree with Dennis & Magen, these are the most comfortable
boots I've ever owned. At age 64 my feet have a lot of miles on them. I'm going to do the Grand Canyon in March of 2006 and you can bet I'll be wearing my Alpha's. I've done AZ, Upper MI and most of the trails in Wisconsin with these boots and wouldn't think of wearing anything else.

Use: Hiking and Back packing.
Break-in Period: none
Price Paid: $49

I love these boots. I've worn them out because I use them for hiking and just walking. I never had one moment of pain or even one blister breaking them in. Alpha boots + my feet = Joy of Hiking

Price Paid: $90

THESE ARE BAD BOOTS! Even breaking them in was a pain! youre feet will ache from just an hour of regular use without a pack! however, The gtx is much better. It is a joke.

These are, without a doubt, the most comfortable boots I've ever owned. It's a pleasure to put them on.
