User Review: Vasque H2
Rating: ![]()
Materials: Leather mountaineering
Use: glacier/alpine/off trail
Break-in Period: 50 miles
Weight: 4lbs. 12 oz.
Price Paid: $315
I bought these for Cascade mountaineering after wearing La Sportiva K3's which I found too narrow for my wide foot. I've put over 300 miles on 'em and found them to be the most comfortable leather boots I've found to date. break in was actually less than the standard required for most leather of this thickness (3.4mm) They aren't as warm as like at times kicking steps and in frigid temps , but a pair of neoprene socks remedy this small problem. They are classified as insulated due to the outlast feature, and waterproofing is sound with this membrain. all said: a 9 of 10 possible, losing a point for price.
