These boots are fantastic. Basically they are the Super Hikers with a longer (10") boot and GORE-TEX. They provide the support I need (I have weak ankles) while remaining amazingly lightweight (remaining half a pound lighter than One Sport Moraines, a traditional height boot). I would recommend them to anyone considering serious backpacking (not mountaineering though -- check out the Glacier or H2 models) and needing lots of ankle support.
