User Review: Vasque Ranger 2
|
Rating: ![]()
Materials: thin leather
Use: short dayhikes, rough trails
Break-in Period: 1 hike
Weight: light
Price Paid: $80
It began as a very comfortable and solid hiking boot, and at $80 I thought it would stay that way for at least a while. After a couple moderately-difficult hikes, one of the back inside seems began to give out. This was unacceptable given the short usage.
As I used them more and more, other seams began to give out. After 6 months or so, the soles were also becoming very flimsy and unsupportive, to the point where my feet would in pain navigating small rocks on my hikes.
Overall, these boots did not hold up like they should have. In the future I plan to buy boots with a solid leather piece, without so many seams, and a hard (maybe Vibram) sole for protection.
