Verve Cassandra Bra

rated 4.5 of 5 stars
photo: Verve Cassandra Bra sports bra

The Cassandra Sports bra is built for real women who want to be active without hiding or falsely advertising anything.

Pros

  • Full shoulder mobility
  • Crossed back straps
  • Great colors
  • Great fit

Cons

  • Usually out of stock

Mainly this bra is great for climbing because of the crossed back straps and allowance for large shoulder muscles (some bras cut into the front of the shoulder).

For the first 15 years of climbing, I bought any cheap sports bra that was under $10 at Target or a consignment shop. I finally doled out $25 (with a store discount) for a real sports bra after hearing so many recommendations. I always figured they were too skimpy, but the coverage isn't a problem.

Finding one in stock usually apparently is though.
