Victorinox Swiss Army Craftsman

rated 5.0 of 5 stars
photo: Victorinox Swiss Army Craftsman multi-tool

A hefty pocketful but nothing superfluous. Except that d@mned hook!

Pros

  • Typical Swiss quality-superb
  • Tools that are functional

Cons

  • Tools are too light for heavy work but fine for fettleling camp gear

I switch off between my Leatherman Sidekick and the SA Craftsman. The SA tools are all quite functional but don't twist them or you may do serious damage to the tool. Beautifully built, fine fit and finish! It has a large spear point blade, a smaller spear point blade, scissors, pliers, metal file with metal saw, wood saw, large and small flat screwdrivers, cap lifter, can opener, cork screw, precision screw driver, awl, wood chisel and a hook. I have yet to find the true purpose of the hook!

If you don't own a Swiss Army Knife, look at a simpler version first. You must be a committed geek to carry one of these. I love mine!
