Volkl Nanuq Custom Climbing Skin

Retailers' Descriptions

Here's what other sites are saying:

Designed with an optimal Mohair Mix surface, the VolklNanuq Climbing Skins add exceptional grip with great glide to skis to extend your ski touring without the use of messy glues. These Custom Nanuq climbing skins are a Mohair-Nylon mix made specially by Colltex for Volkl's Touring series of skis. The skin is attached by inserting its pin through a shaped hole in the shovel of the ski. The skin is then rotated 90 degrees to lock it in place. Once rotated the skin fixation is 100% reliably secured. The system can be monitored by the skier from above at any time to provide visual peace of mind. The hole in the tip of the ski is also helpful for building a rescue toboggan in an emergency. Polyester/Mohair Mix (35%/65%). Pin Lock system. Laser Cut to fit ski perfectly. Pull cord tail lock

- Tahoe Mountain Sports

Volkl's Nanuq Climbing Skins stick to your floaters without the use of glues so you can continue ski touring comfortably. The adhesive surface produces a vacuum-tight closure, and the Skin Pin secures theses skins to your Nanuq skis. Volkl's special Mohair Mix gives these skins an exceptional grip that glides with ease. Their midlayer features a waterproof film to prevent moisture buildup, and the durable baselayer resists crimping as well as stretching for durable longevity.

- Backcountry.com

Volkl's Nanuq Custom Climbing Skin fits the backcountry Nanuq ski perfectly without needing to be trimmed or snipped. The skins have a unique key lock attachment system that integrates with the tip of the Nanuq, making it a totally solid system for climbing in the mountains.
