User Review: Walrus Skyline
Price Paid: traded my tent with my hiking buddy
I traded tents with a buddy and got the Skyline on the trade, he paid $400 for it new in 1994 and my tent was a cheap maybe $90 tent - family one.
This tent, OMG, is awesome. I have had it up on Mt. Rainier in 100+ mph winds and slept soundly. I had it in pouring down rain, where you could not sleep due to the noise! My car leaked but my tent did not. I was afraid of touching the sides and having the moisture come in, but it did not.
I cannot begin to tell you how much I love this tent. I do not hike anymore due to bad knees. But this is the one thing I have not been able to give up. It is just such an awesome tent, and since they don't make them anymore I cannot replace it.
