User Review: Walrus Skyline
Design: 4 Season - Modified A-Frame (Worthy of an expedition)
Ease of Setup: Simple
Weight: 8.5 lbs
Price Paid: $350
Excellent tent for the price, I got mine for $250. Experienced extreme wet weather in a monsoon storm in Colorado this summer. The tent did not even try to leak. I don't think a hurricane could knock this tent over. I have slept three people in this tent before, very comfortably.
The only drawback I have with this tent are the funky fiberglass wands which hold up two external hooded vents. I have already had two break. Walrus will replace them free of charge (which I have already done), but it is still anoying. The other drawback is the nonhooped vestibule.
I have no complaint about the amount of room it provides. I just believe it will flatten in a heavy snow load.
Overall I would give this tent an 8 out of 10 (minus the vestibule and wands I would give it a 10). I will probably send this tent back and purchase the Walrus Warp/2 or the new Walrus Arc/3 which is actually a new and very improved Skyline.
