User Review: Walrus Skyline
Design: 4 season/modified A-Frame
Ease of Setup: tres easy
Weight: 7.5 lbs for real
Price Paid: $350
This is a very light four-season tent with two doors and two vestibules. The set-up is great and it is extremely roomy for two + gear and could sleep three, if you are in conditions where storing gear outside does not amount to jettisoning it. I will have to confess that I have subjected this tent to a heavy snowfall situation (I mean hey! I live in Ohio), but it sure did shed the 2" we got one night in Canaan Valley, WV.
However, the real test came during a spring trip on a barrier island in N.C. One night, we got a wicked northeaster that rolled in and bullied our campsite. The Skyline, I'm pleased to know, held up wonderfully in winds that ridiculed our camping partners' tent.
