Walrus Windshear

rated 5.0 of 5 stars

Walrus is no longer in business, and the Windshear has been discontinued. If you're looking for something new, check out the best three-season tents for 2024.

I live and camp in Florida and Alabama in the fall, winter and spring. Waaaaaay too hot in the summer to camp down here. This tent is fantastic for one person or two who like being very close. Setup is a breeze. Has plenty of tie downs on fly and a large vestibule with excellent venting options. Has taped floors and fly. After using this tent for a year I have had no problems with it. I decided only two things could make it better, a zippered ceiling vent and a storm flap on the rear window and Walrus put those on the Y2K model. Be patient while searching for that perfect tent. I waited and finally got a great tent for a very reasonable price. Only problem is now I want the Y2K Windshear. Oh well, maybe in a few years if my current tent ever wears out.
