User Review: Western Mountaineering Puma Super DL (DryLoft)

Western Mountaineering Puma Super DL
Above: The current Puma Super DL, which may differ slightly from the version reviewed.

Rating: rated 4 of 5 stars
Design: M
Fill: 750 fill large cluster down
Temperature Rating: -20F
Weight: 3lb 7oz
Price Paid: $535 (tents and trails) / $575 list

Not fully tested yet under very cold conditions, but at 15F....

Just roomy enough to be warm and comfortable. I can flop side to side without twisting the bag with me. Lining is very smooth but strong feeling. Pleanty of foot room for streaching feet and morning clothes. Draft tubes seal off zipper area leave no cold spots. Sinching the draft collar around the neck creates an oven in the bag. Hood is puffed with down to the point of being pillow like. At 15F I could not make use of most of the above features because it was just to hot. Real winter tests will be coming soon hopefully.
