I purchased 5 of these. Unfortunately, they have serious quality problems.

Three of the five have burrs on the inside from the manufacturing process (i.e. it appears that the sharp fin where the two sides of the press met was not completely ground smooth).  

I'm no expert but that kind of sharp edge, no matter how small, must be really bad for ropes and slings.
