Sorel Men's Caribou

rated 1 of 5 stars Sorel is not what they used to be. Once a big corporation starts going "We can make things cheaper" what do you get? After three months they started to crack and split at the toe bend. After talking to other people these boots were not defective, this is a manufacturing flaw. So I broke out my old 20-year-old Sorels that were made by Sorel. Started looking at the Baffin Evolution for this winter Lots of positives, but if your liners are getting wet then so are your feet—not good at -20°. The… Full review

Vasque Men's Coldspark Ultradry

rated 3.5 of 5 stars Insulated and waterproof for cold and wet active use this full, over the ankle boot is great for those who work and play in winter conditions. A combination of natural and synthetic materials keeps the Coldsparks flexible in deep cold. The outsole is a proprietary, dual density compound that provides good traction across the temperature spectrum. Specs: Weight: 2 lb 3 oz/1kg per Vasque Weight on my scale: 2 lb 11.5oz/1.237kg for US11.5 Med Width Last: Perpetuum Upper: 1.8mm Waterproof Leather,… Full review

Baffin Men's Tundra

rated 5 of 5 stars I generally go through a pair of boots every six weeks. These boots have lasted four winter months now. I do a lot of ladder climbing, shoveling, and wet area walking. I would buy these boots again—first choice. I generally go through a pair of boots every six weeks. These boots have lasted four winter months now. Now showing wear in the ankle flex area. I wear these boots 10 hours a day. With other boots, I get bad athletes foot even though I change socks twice a day. The liners are very warm… Full review

The North Face Women's Chilkats

rated 0.5 of 5 stars I've always been impressed with the quality and durability of the many North Face products I've purchased—many items that have lasted for years and countless uses. However, I too purchased the Chilkat style winter hiking boots and wore them only a handful of times resulting in what would be considered very minimal "wear & tear". The boots appeared in mint condition the last time I put them on, but after taking a few steps, I noticed a trail of broken pieces of rubber crumbling off as I walked. Full review

The North Face Men's Chilkats

rated 2 of 5 stars Rubber lower cracked. I had a pair of the original Chilkats. I really liked them, but after a short period of time the lower rubber portion cracked. I took a chance again when they came out with the Chillkat ll. I really liked them and figured NF fixed the issue. NOT!! Same thing different boot. Really, North Face! Really! Full review

Vasque Men's Lost 40

rated 3.5 of 5 stars Insulated, waterproof and pretty darn comfy, these mukluk style boots are great for those who want to head out into whatever winter offers. At home in snow or mud on their own, but compatible with traction devices capable of fitting a larger style boot, though the fit is a bit loose for serious climbing. A pull on waterproof boot, especially one with good insulation, can really change your perspective on cold, wet, wintry weather. If they are easy to jump into and out of it stands to reason you’ll… Full review

The North Face Men's Chilkats

rated 0.5 of 5 stars The Rubber part are Rubbish! I have had my North Face boots for about three years. Last week when I took them out of the closet to wear in the snow, the rubber lower and leather upper separated. The rubber completely deteriorated from indoor storage. What crap these turned out to be for an expensive boot. All the rubber on the boot is falling apart. DON'T BUY. Shame on you, North Face. I'll get my next pair from LL Bean. They actually stand behind their product. Full review

Carhartt 10-inch Insulated Composite Toe Pac Boots

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Winter waterproof leather top 10-inch insulated boots with composite safety toe. For outdoor work in wet snow and ice. Can be used for ice fishing, winter camping, directing traffic, outdoor work. Not hiking boots, no removable inner boots. Carhartt Winter Boots Ahh, winter. Yes. Winter. Carhartt Boots. Model CMC1259-080-M, size 9, medium width. These boots do not have removable inner liner boots like my Kamik International pack boots. They have removable OrthoLite performance insoles that wick… Full review

Northside Back Country

rated 2 of 5 stars These boots were poorly made and the fit was terrible. I purchased Men's Regular Size 9 and although the length was fine the width was at least a EE, if not wider. The insole was rippled with padding that made them feel very uncomfortable. I do not recommend these boots. I purchased these boots online after finding them on the Amazon. They are made in China and imported to the US by Prestige Sports out of New York State. They were relatively inexpensive which I should have taken into account. Upon… Full review
