The North Face Men's Chilkats

rated 0.5 of 5 stars Do not buy them. Wore them once in the snow, seemed fine. Second time I wore them the whole upper section came off. Buy a Euro brand. NF, shame on you! Full review

Oboz Bridger Mid BDry Insulated

rated 4 of 5 stars Insulated, waterproof, and comfortable, the Oboz Bridger Mid Insulated is made for those who stay active all winter long. Great with snowshoes, spikes, or on their own. When cold weather calls for a little insulation, but you don't want to be slowed down by heavier, sub zero gear, these boots are ready to go. Fresh from the trail you can see where snow melt has puddled a bit below the laces on top of the shoe. Those areas took a bit longer to dry, but I never found any moisture seeping through to… Full review

The North Face Men's Chilkats

rated 0.5 of 5 stars Split apart at the rubber/leather seam. NF told me to go fly a kite. What a joke, because they are warm, waterproof*, and cozy. Up until they fall apart for no reason. Bye bye, North Face. Never again. Comfy and warm, until you decide to not wear them. Then they fall apart. Thanks, North Face. I'll be shipping you none of my business for the rest of my life.  Full review

The North Face Women's Chilkats II Boots

rated 0.5 of 5 stars Fell apart!!! Sub standard materials. Made in China....enough said. I never had a really nice, warm pair of boots so I finally spent the money on The North Face boots. LOVED them as my feet were finally warm when out in the snow. That is until today when I am about 2 miles from home and look down at what I thought was snow on the toe of my boot till I realized it was the lining because the rubber broke apart.  These are about 3-4 years old and stored indoors!!! These have been worn several times… Full review

L.L.Bean Women's Bean Boots, 6"

rated 4 of 5 stars These boots are wonderfully dry and warm to keep you comfortable in all weather but one. In winter weather, which switches between thaw and frost, there will be thick ice on the ground and you need to have good antislides added to your soles or you will fall continuously!! This boot gives a very good fit, is a little tricky to get on, but easy to get out of.   It keeps you warm, dry, and comfortable in all weather.  I think perhaps there has been an inner insulator, but I do not know since my… Full review

Salomon X Ultra Winter CS WP

rated 5 of 5 stars Great winter boot used for snowshoeing, feet dry and warm. Great fit and comfort. Feet are warm and dry even covered in snow. Awesome traction even on ice. Totally lived up to expectations. UPDATE: Used several times, no break-in time, does everything advertised, maybe the best boot I've ever bought. Full review

The North Face Men's Chilkats

rated 0.5 of 5 stars Same thing happened to me ... I had these and only wore a few times bc I have really cute coach boots and last year we didn't have much snow and this year we didn't have much snow. I got them out of my closet for the second time this year and they cracked same place as all of the others. I am so disappointed bc I loved these for really cold days. Seems to me there is a defect!!!! Same thing happened to mine!! Seems to be a defect if it happened to so many. They should give people their money back! Full review

The North Face Women's Chilkats

rated 1 of 5 stars I bought these boots four years ago and have worn them maybe twice a year. Today when I was walking up my front stairs to my door both of my boots cracked completely across the rubber part! I bought these during a NW snowstorm. I thought I'd treat myself to a nice boot that would keep my feet warm and dry for years to come, and they did, for a while.   We don't get a lot of snow here so they mostly lived in my bedroom closet. Dry, warm, good conditions for storing shoes, right? I guess not, because… Full review

Sorel Maverick

rated 0.5 of 5 stars I use these for hunting and ice fishing. My first pair made it 12 years. Second pair made it eight years. Third pair made it two years and the rubber bottoms rotted and now they leak, bad.  Full review
