About
I primarily work as a security contractor, so i spend a lot of time on my feet. usually wearing between 25 and 45 pounds of gear. because of this a good boot, what used to be called a hiking boot and what is now a backpacking boot is a must. add that to the 7 days a week 12 to 14 hours a day of work for at least 3-6 months at a time and you become very close to your boots, as a matter of fact you can live and die by the boot selection you make in this line of work. walking around on gravel and rocks(golf ball to soccer ball size), dirt, and steel decking material for months at a time will trash your feet and ankles if you are not wearing good boots.
the stiffer the sole the more weight you can take.
