About
Until recently, I was a lobbyist and advocate at American Hiking Society. After 5 years in DC, I missed the trail! So, after finishing the Appalachian Trail, I've dedicated myself getting out more often, and helping others enjoy the outdoors. I'm honored to serve on the Boards of Directors of The Four Corners School of Outdoor Education, The Amazing Earthfest, Grand-Staircase-Escalante Partners, and the Maine Chapter of International Appalachian Trail/Sentier International des Appalaches. I do consulting work for the Pacific Crest Trail Association and have consulted for Katadyn too.
I'm based on the east coast right now, and am very interested in car-free backpacking, combining bike touring with backpacking to reduce my carbon impact, and see more cool stuff.
