About
Aloha - i'm addicted to getting out of the office/house, and particularly where cell phones don't work :-) I'm not your typical hiker - I got into a bad accident and went from 170 to over 450, I'm down to 290 and people give me funny looks at REI (grr) and the trailheads... I guess they think you *have* to be a muscle jock to go backpacking/hiking/camping. But it doesn't stop me... I try to go out once a month and get away.
I'm one of your typical over-packers-that-loves-creature-comforts, even when I'm out on top of some mountain. However, I have yet to take a battery powered fan with me ! Some gals in the Smokeys have named me "Ritz Carlton" :-)
