Last Week: Enter to Win Old Town Kayak, Paddle, PFD

In just one week, one Trailspace member will win a complete paddling package, including an Old Town Camden 106 kayak, a Carlisle Magic Plus paddle, and an Extrasport Equinox DLX PFD, all thanks to Johnson Outdoors. (I'm personally very excited to randomly draw and find out who our winner will be!)

Don't forget the PFD. Johnson Outdoors has our winner covered with an Extrasport Equinox DLX.

To be entered to win this impressive paddling prize worth $880, you need to share your outdoor gear review on Trailspace by Tuesday, May 29.

To Enter

  • Write a review now through Tuesday, April 29, of your outdoor gear, apparel, or footwear. Every review counts as an entry and helps other outdoor enthusiasts.
  • Share your review on Facebook, Twitter , Google+, or other social media.
  • You're entered! On Wednesday, April 30, we'll randomly draw one lucky gear reviewer to win this amazing paddling package.
  • We'll also throw in a Trailspace Trail Runner Cap to wear on your outdoor adventures.

Check out the video below to learn more about Johnson Outdoors Watercraft in Old Town, Maine.

Then review your gear to enter to win an Old Town Camden kayak, Carlisle paddle, and Extrasport PFD to get out and paddling on the water.

I wish Canadians could enter! I could really use a kayak of my very own... I guess I'm renting again.

Is this gear review only open to American members?

It would be nice to have but being I get around only by foot, bike or bus I would have no way to get it to a place to use it.

Yes, this particular contest is only open to residents of the continental United States (lower 48), due to shipping restrictions.

This is the first contest we've had where we had to restrict by residency, and that was due to the prize itself.

Where is it going to be shipped from?

Johnson Outdoors, which is sponsoring the contest, will ship the prizes directly to the winner. Johnson Outdoors is based in Old Town, Maine.

Right next to Canada and it can't be shipped there? Not much difference than if you shipped it to say San Diego.

While we'd love to include everyone in this contest (and usually do), unfortunately there are many shipping and customs fees for both shippers and receivers associated with shipping outside of the continental U.S., particularly to a foreign country. It can be extremely pricey, particularly with high value items.

Also, just because Johnson Outdoors is based in Maine, does not mean the prizes will necessarily ship from Maine. They will determine the best way to get the winner their prizes.

Johnson Outdoors is being very generous in donating an $880 paddling package complete with a kayak, paddle, and PFD to one individual. I think some basic restrictions on the gift and the shipping costs they'll incur for providing such a great prize are understandable.

Thank you, Old Town and Johnson Outdoors!
