You've waited more than six long months, through the dark of winter, the mud of, well, mud season, the black flies of summer, but the wait was worth it. Outdoor Retailer Summer Market is happening this week.
The biannual outdoor industry trade show begins with the Open Air Demo at Utah's Pineview Reservoir on Tuesday, and continues Wednesday through Saturday with four days exploring the brand booths in Salt Lake City's Salt Palace.
Our very own trusty Seth Levy will be on the gear scene, meeting with reps from outdoor brands large and small, new and established, to see the latest backcountry gear, apparel, and footwear coming your way in 2015.
His schedule is so jam-packed he'll need to survive on Clif bar samples and carefully metered sips of water, but he'll do it all with a smile on behalf of the Trailspace community (go, Seth!).
Follow @Trailspace at #ORshow
Since we can't fit all 18,000 Trailspace members in the OR booths (sorry, folks), we'll share the #ORshow experience with images, videos, tweets, and blogs from the show daily.
As hikers, trail runners, climbers, and paddlers, you're the ultimate audience for all of this new gear. So we want to hear your thoughts and opinions.
Add your voice to our Outdoor Retailer coverage here and on Facebook. Tell us your thoughts on the gear being launched, new gear developments, and the trends to watch (or watch out for).
And, if you see something innovative or interesting that calls for in-depth testing before it lands in stores, please recommend it for Review Corps field testing and review. We want Trailspace to be the best resource for finding and selecting gear for your human-powered backcountry recreation.
Stay tuned for nightly recaps. In the meantime, you can check out this video from last year:
