Simple backpacking food recipes — just add hot water!

Pros

  • Variety of recipes
  • Easy to read

Cons

  • Some ingredients can be hard to find or no longer sold

This way of camp cooking was new to me, having done little camping for years. Now I am gung-ho to give it a try after reading these simple recipes. I've taste-tested some and am eager to set up my meals for planned June camping/canoe trip!

Did run into a few ingredients that are had to find...example: Lipton no longer makes tomato flavor cupa-soup. Also, some of the recipes include off-the-shelf items that I would not use as they contain MSG.

But all-in-all, some great camp food ideas, and easy to modify for one's own taste.
