The Big Agnes Lulu Sleeping Bag is a synthetic version of the popular Big Agnes Roxy Anne Sleeping Bag. For this women's specific bag Big Agnes has added extra room in the waist and additional down fill in the foot and core area. They created the petite size to fit women 5 ft 8 in and shorter. All Big Agnes Sleeping bags require a pad for insulation on the bottom. The Petite size use a regular 20 x 66 in pad and the Regular size uses a regular 20 x 72 in pad. Insotect Tubic is a revolutionary tubular insulation system engineered to provide the maximum cubic loft for supreme thermal efficiency and user comfort. Through its innovative design and construction, Insotect Tubic delivers performance benefits that make gear significantly loftier, warmer & more durable. Superior thermal efficiency - the significant air space created by the DualVault and Vertical Thermal Channel delivers the best thermal efficiency.
Updated with Insotect Tubic vertical baffles and filled with durable Integrity synthetic insulation, the Big Agnes Lulu 15? sleeping bag for women excels for three-season backpacking and car camping.
The women's Big Agnes Lulu Sleeping Bag is roomier than a traditional mummy bag and features quick-drying synthetic insulation for warmth and comfort when sleeping outside in damp weather. Designed for women, with a narrow cut at the shoulders, more width at the hips and extra insulation in the footbox and torso where it's needed most. Underside insulation has been eliminated and replaced with a sleeve for a Big Agnes 20 in. wide rectangular pad (sold separately). Semirectangular bag features short-staple synthetic insulation with 97% recycled content that provides high loft, superior warmth-to-weight ratio and excellent compressibility. Insotect Tubic(TM) tubular insulation system is engineered to provide the maximum cubic loft for excellent warmth. Big Agnes Lulu Sleeping Bag is rated to keep you warm down to about 15degF. Continuous draft wedge insulates the connection between the bag and your pad to prevent cold air from entering. Ripstop nylon shell is treated with a Durable Water Repellent finish; soft, breathable nylon taffeta lining cocoons you in comfort. 2-way, full-length, locking zipper has a big, easy-to-grab zipper pull; left- and right-zippered bags can be zipped together. Large draft tube located behind the zipper prevents warm air from escaping and cold air from entering. Pillow pocket allows you to stuff extra clothing or a travel pillow inside; zippered stash pocket at the shoulders holds your headlamp or watch close by. Interior fabric loops stabilize a sleeping bag liner, sold separately. Big Agnes Lulu Sleeping Bag includes a nylon stuff sack and large cotton storage bag.
The other day, we heard a story about a desert backpacking trip taken in early October. The storyteller had packed her 35-degree bag and, as soon as the sun set, knew she wouldn't be getting much sleep that night. If only she'd had the Big Agnes Lulu 15-Degree Synthetic Sleeping Bag. Rather than shivering all night, she'd have slept soundly and woken up ready to tackle the next ten miles, thanks in part to Insotect Tubic construction, which uses vertical baffles to spread heat evenly and conform to her body for maximum warmth and comfort. The Lulu's high-loft, 97% recycled Integrity insulation with extra warmth and room in the foot and core would have provided consistent warmth despite the dipping midnight temps. She could have slid an insulated Big Agnes sleeping pad into the bag's integrated pad sleeve to insulate her against the cold ground (to shave weight, the Lulu doesn't have ground insulation, instead relying on a sleeping pad for warmth), stuffed her fleece jacket into the pillow pocket, and enjoyed the warmth of the no-draft zipper, collar, and pad wedge. Plus, if her tentmate had had a compatible Big Agnes sleeping bag, she could have zipped hers to it for an extra-cozy night spent in nylon-taffeta-lined comfort. Guess she learned the hard way.
