I bought this rope as an emergency rope. Extremely strong for its' size being made from Dyneema with a nylon cover sheath. I bought a color of solid black.
Plus's,
- high strength, 3100Lbs break
- low stretch and low settle.
- light weight.
- very durable core.
- Highly cut resistant.
50/50's
- stiff
Con's,
- wish it was sold as a 50ft package rather than the 20ft package.
- cover is nylon so it can chafe (easier than the core).
I bought a second and have woven one into a lifting sling (strength theoretically = 12400lbs).
Yes, I do recommend and would buy again from REI.
