Rescue 8

rated 5 of 5 stars A must-have item for folks on rope! I work with two of these. The first is in my personal climbing bag, for use in my caving activities. The second is in the "Rescue Bag" on the high ropes challenge course I manage in central Illinois. The primary advantage of a "Rescue 8" over a smaller Figure 8 are the protruding "ears" on each side. These ears prevent an unexpected girth hitch from occurring in the middle of a rescue. The large opening also also for an extra turn of the rope, when you need to… Full review

9.7mm Lightning Pro

rated 5 of 5 stars Feeds great. This rope is a great size for a thinner workhorse option. I use this rope as my go-to option if I can only take one rope with me to the crag. The Lightning Pro feeds great on belay, clips smoothly, and the color definitely pops in pics too, which is a bonus. I have taken some whippers on this rope, and it is elastic enough to give me a soft catch, but durable enough to withstand all the route projecting I use it on.   I climb primarily sport routes in dry climates, and I haven't tested… Full review

Pull Down Cord

rated 5 of 5 stars BlueWater's reputation for quality static lines is maintained with this product. It works as expected and is a good value. This was purchased as a second line for canyoneering. It is light, has a good hand for a static line, and surprisingly unlikely to tangle. It worked flawlessly during an exploratory trip to the Grand Canyon. I am considering buying a second one which I would cut into two equal lengths (to speed up transition time on smaller drops and ascents). Full review

Rappel Rack

rated 5 of 5 stars For other than recreational mountaineering, this has been my preferred rappel system for many years, especially on long drops. I like the great amount of control available, the degree to which you can rappel just a little tint bit, and the ability to lock off positively. I have used it for mountain rescue applications, and also for applications doing archaeology and paleontology where rappelling was necessary to reach sites and specimens. The longest of these was a situation calling for a 580' rappel,… Full review

5.5mm Titan Cord

rated 3.5 of 5 stars I bought this rope as an emergency rope.  Extremely strong for its' size being made from Dyneema with a nylon cover sheath. I bought a color of solid black. Plus's, - high strength, 3100Lbs break - low stretch and low settle. - light weight. - very durable core. - Highly cut resistant.   50/50's - stiff   Con's, - wish it was sold as a 50ft package rather than the 20ft package. - cover is nylon so it can chafe (easier than the core).   I bought a second and have woven one into a lifting sling… Full review
