rated 4.5 of 5 stars

This review is for the ED Micro Jacket Lady Evo. This is for the women's version, not the men's version.

Pros

  • Puffs right back up out of the washing machine
  • Really light and crushable
  • Lots of warmth for the weight
  • Flattering
  • Unique bright color options
  • Cozy hood

Cons

  • Pockets openings are a little too small
  • Not cheap
  • Cuffs are not adjustable

The fit is great on this ED Micro Jacket Lady Evo. It is snug so that it's flattering and does not make you look like a round puffball, but flexible enough so it moves with you and does not feel tight. It moves like a fleece but is warm like a puffy jacket.

It is not waterproof, but it beads a bit of water off. It is VERY WARM for it’s weight. It fits nicely under a roomy rain shell for great warmth + waterproof protection. I have washed it twice after major spills and it looks great and is still lofty and warm. I subjected it to stains and spills and smells (from a toddler) and everything comes right out.

I have only used this jacket for one season, but it was cold and snowy, and it held up quite nicely. I recommend this jacket to anyone who is looking for a jacket to stuff in your bag for cold post hike or climb temperatures, and for people who want to look less outdoorsy than a full-on puffy coat while running errands in the cold.
