CiloGear's V4 60 Liter WorkSacks are now made to order in Portland, Oregon. We incorporated the standard V4 upgrades, with a more robust 70d SilNylon extension, 3 layer foam in the shoulder straps and hipbelt, and a ton of improvements in terms of construction standards. The 60L is the standard big pack for fast and light climbers visiting the Himalayas, the Cordillera Blanca, the Alaskan Ranges, Patagonia and even folks cragging at the Gunks.
The 60L is great for hiking in, and it's popular with hikers looking for a smart blend of durability and low weight and anybody looking for the ultimate in versatility. These packs have seen literally thousands of days of work guiding almost everywhere imaginable, from the Antarctic to Aconcagua to Alaska and Zaire.
The pack has aNinja Pocket to hold important stuff inside the pack. The framesheet pocket can hold the bivy pad and framesheet supplied with the pack or most inflatable sleeping pads. The pack is built from an incredibly durable blend of X-Pack VX materials and 210d and 500d Dyneema/Cordura ripstop. Most of the materials are made in the USA, including the zippers.
CiloGear's innovative use of materials allows for optimal load transfer from the front panel directly to the suspension. Our semi-rigid front panel, made with cutting edge Dimension Polyant X-Pack VX42 and VX21, helps the internal compression strap to transfer the load off the front of the pack.
The removable Aluminum stay and PE framesheet combine with our removable strap system to control and transfer loads better than any comparable pack.

First off, Cilogear's service is excellent and very personal; they build a relationship with you and discuss your needs. My initial thoughts on receiving the pack were that it appeared to have everything laid out where it should be, the weight was very light and the pack compresses down very small."

This is a phenomenal, well-designed pack that fits beautifully and carries varying loads with ease. A fantastic technical bag with unparalleled versatility (once you spend all of 10-15 minutes learning how to dial the straps). It's lighter (and yet still more comfortable) than any other pack I've used."
