DMM Demon Cam

Retailers' Descriptions

Here's what other sites are saying:

DMM combined some of the best features from its Dragon and 4CU cams to make the Demon Anodized Cams an excellent addition to your rack. With a range from 13mm to 100mm in nine different sizes, you're ready to climb whatever route comes your way. Its single axle head places each lobe at a 13. 75 angle in order to give an ideal balance between holding power and range. The single stem is very stiff for easy placements, and the hot-forged thumb helps your second clean up your gear without a hassle. The lobes double as passive protection in case you find yourself low on options, and DMM anodized and color coded each cam for durability and easy recognition. DMM also added a Dyneema sling that you can extend on meandering routes.

In order to provide more racking options in their active protection range DMM has combined some of their favorite features from their two existing cams: the tried and trusted 13.75 degree, single axle head unit of the 4CU, with the justifiably popular stem assembly of the Dragon with its patented thumb press and extendable sling design. The result is a lightweight, versatile, and functional device that caters for climbers who prefer single stem ergonomics, for those who are used to DMM's traditional sizing system, and for those who want to double up their cam racks to offer even more placement options. The range covers placements from 13 mm to 100 mm in nine color coded sizes. The colors follow the same sequence as the 4CU, but DMM reversed the cam lobe coloring to the opposite to the Dragon for easily identification.

DMM took the tried and true geometry of their 4CU cams and combined them with the light weight single stem design of the Dragon cam to create the Demon. The lobe coloring is reversed on these cams so can add them to your rack of Dragon's without getting confused and their extendable Dyneema slings give you multiple clipping options to reduce rope drag and increase your efficiency.
