Eddie Bauer First Ascent Sandstone Soft Shell Jacket
The perfect do-everything jacket.
Pros
- Lightweight
- Versatile
Cons
- No cons at all
The perfect do-everything jacket. Honestly. You're in a tent at 9,000 feet and it's dawn? Put this on and get your MSR stove going. It's a bit chilly and you're climbing a ridge but don't want to wear goose down? This jacket is exactly what you need, maybe with a shell and a vest if it's raining or frosty.
The fabric breathes, it's warm, and incredibly light. I practically live in this jacket when it's colder than 45°F. Love it. And don't believe the First Ascent website. The fit is not "athletic," but roomy.
