I spent a summer looking for a good-sized rucksack to take with me for a semester in Italy and decided on the Ascent. I used it every day for four months and it never let me down whether I was trekking around Rome or sleeping on it in the Milan train station.

This pack will hold enough gear for a long weekend. Its major plusses are comfort, durability, and a good price. Other features such as waterbottle nets, daisy-chain, and compression straps come in handy for tacking on extra stuff. The only thing I would like on this pack would be a zippered bottom opening to get to that hard-to-reach item.

Overall, I found it to be a very versatile rucksack and highly recommend it.
