EMS Eclipse Tent w/DAC Poles

rated 4.0 of 5 stars

The Eclipse Tent w/DAC Poles has been discontinued. If you're looking for something new, check out the best three-season tents for 2024.

I realize they don't make this tent anymore, but i've seen them for sale on ebay and such, and I have never come across any reviews of this tent, so here is one because it deserves it!!!

I have had this tent since 2004. It has been x-country for 2 months through 38 states - humid southeast to dry desert, to cold Oregon mountains. It has held up amazingly!

Super easy to set up/take down. I've had the tent set up, bags and pads in under 10mins! It's a little heavy at 6.2lbs for backpacking. The rain fly is attached, which is convenient, but warm in the summer, although it has pretty good ventilation. A "wing" on either side is great for keeping gear/shoes protected from light weather, but too exposed for any heavy rain. Speaking of which...not a drop in the tent in 5 years!

Can't say enough about the quality and ease of this tent.
