User Review: EMS Traverse
Rating: ![]()
Materials: Leather
Use: Rough Trail, Light Mountaineering
Break-in Period: Two 30-mile hikes
Weight: 3 lbs
Price Paid: $160 on sale
I have used these boots for long days hikes, backpacking trips, moderate rock, and easy mountaineering. They have worked well under all conditions, and are stiff enough for strap-on crampons. The sole is very grippy but durable, and edges well. The ankle support is good for very heavy packs off trail.
Overall, a very nice boot at a good price.
