SCS Classic

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Affordable yet fast, these skis are a great option for an experienced skier who doesn't want to blow the bank. They are durable enough to use as an everyday or marathon ski, and the NIS plate system makes installing or switching bindings a cinch. I have two pairs of SCS Classics. The price versus performance equation makes these skis a no-brainer. If you're a highly competitive racer, you'll want to move up a few models to shave a few grams and get a faster base, but these are great for a casual… Full review

Desire My Style

rated 3.5 of 5 stars These were great for me as a beginner. They are not too expensive, and are of decent quality. I only used them off track in parks, golf courses, and un-plowed streets and sidewalks. They perform well on shallow or well-packed snow, but they sink too much in deep powder. They turn okay when you pick up your feet, but you are not going to get hardly any turn just by leaning. Now that I have discovered the strengths and limitations of these skis, I recently ordered some new metal-edge skis, which… Full review

Desire My Style

rated 3.5 of 5 stars I use these skis for non-groomed trails and they work pretty well. They stay slick in all temperatures. This is my first pair of cross-country skis. They are a great starter set, especially with the pre-mounted bindings. I took them out of box and was on the trail in less than an hour of their delivery! They are very light snd easy to carry. I purchased the 184 cm. I am 72" so they seem just a bit short for me, but maybe I'm just getting use to Nordic style after skiing alpine my whole life. My… Full review

BCX 6

rated 3.5 of 5 stars This is a great combination of support and flex in a Nordic touring boot, but has a few flaws. I am an outdoor guide and spend maybe 60-70 days a season in nordic boots. The old binding systems (75mm three pin) only last so long for me three to four seasons before the soles start to crack. The NNN-BC has been a great solution to this problem by replacing the sole flexion with a mechanical pivot point. This boot offers some of the support that used to be available only in the older top grain leather… Full review

BCX 6

rated 5 of 5 stars Used these for some cross-country skiing at Windblown XC center. It was the first time out this year and one of the few places skiable here yet. The boots were incredibly warm (it was 18 degrees) and the boots worked great. Good kick and glide and very comfortable. Also managed some powder across a lake and a few steep downhills. Boots are able to put a good amount of pressure on the skis and allow good turning. A VERY WARM and supportive boot that will allow you to focus on having fun making good… Full review
