Rating: rated 5 of 5 stars

I rented these at REI my first year cross-country skiing and was surprised at how well they handled! I ski a mix of XC ski centers and state parks. I used these at a ski touring center and found them to be pretty decent gliding, and they also did surprisingly well off-track in deeper snow.

In-track I found them to be very fast and off-track in deeper powder (8") they floated well due to their flexible tips. They did get a little squirrely on icier sections of walking and snowmobile paths, but overall not a bad backcountry ski.
